JOUR 1: LA PAZ – SAJAMA – LA PAZ

À 6h00, nous vous recherchons à votre hôtel pour commençer le voyage en traversant « l'Altiplano bolivien ». Notre destination est le département d'Oruro où le Parc National de Sajama, situé à plus de 4200 mètres d'altitude et où nous serons fiers d’observer de près la plus haute montagne de la Bolivie: Le Nevado Sajama, dont le sommet arrive à 6542 mètres.

Sur le chemin du parc, nous visiterons l'église de Curahuara de Carangas, appelée « Chapelle Sixtine de l'Altiplano » à cause de la beauté des peintures qu'elle contient dans ses salles. L'église est l'une des plus anciennes du continent.

Nous arriverons ensuite au Parc National de Sajama. Nous visiterons d’abord le lac Huayna Kota où nous pourrons observer des flamants roses andins avant de prendre un bain dans les eaux thermales. L'après-midi, nous traverserons la forêt d'arbres queñua, une sous-espèce endémique de la région. La forêt est la formation ligneuse qui grandit à une altitude supérieure dans le monde. Nous aurons la possibilité d'observer (vigognes, lamas et alpagas).

Repromenade à La Paz, 21h00 environ.

Transport privé La Paz-Sajama-La Paz, service de guide bilingue (français - espagnol), tickets d'entrée au Parc National et à Curahuara de Carangas. Nourriture: Box Lunch (sandwiches, de l’eau, jus et 1 fruit).

Return to La Paz, arrival to your hotel at 21:00 approximately.

Overnight at Tomarapi Ecolodge, one of the most successful community tourismo development proyects in Bolivia. The Ecolodge has private rooms, restaurant and local guides.

After breakfast we depart towards the town of Macaya 1.5 hours far from Sajama, there it is located the reception office of the "Río Lauca" tourist circuit where we will visit to the polychrome giant Chullpas (funerary toms) that belong to the Inca time. Finally we will visit the Sakewa Lagoon for sightings of flamingos. Return to Tambo Quemado to take the paved road back to La Paz.
