Bolivia is a fascinating country to be visited on 4wd expeditions. The largest destinations known by their tough routes and spectacular scenery are Sajama National Park and Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve. Sajama Park houses the highest peak in Bolivia: Sajama. The park also offers hot waters, mountaineering routes, queñua forests and several archaeological sites such as polychromatic ‘chullpas’ (Funerary Tombs) from the Inca era.
The Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve contains the beautiful circuit of Lagunas Altonandinas (High Andean Lagoons), as well as the famous Red and Green Lagoons. Its deserts show a mixture of colors that impact the observers. This reserve is part of the Uyuni Salt Flat circuit and ‘intersalar route’.
